

The Battle of the TreeThe whispers wormed their way through the leaves of the grand Willow. The wind flooded the branches holding them in their grasp and shaking them to their senses. The tree is now aware and strengthens its limps to iron boughs. The intensity of the air raises in anticipation as the wind attempts to unsettle its foe. The sky pelts the tower of timber with rivulets of water and in moment of anger a giant flash sears the sky to dazzle the tree and attempt to catch it off-guard. Inspecific LifeHe had never been the one to initiate activities. As his life progressed he found it more and more necessary to do so in order to fulfil a level of entertainment suitable to sustaining him. The more he lived the more he realised that nothing ultimately matter. He spoke to the powerful and he spoke to the poor, neither could stir him emotionally. As more time passed he began to slip away from the society he had so craved for. Those he had once knew passed away before his eyes. For each one that fell another step he retreated.
